The "jaw-dropping" (Metro) multi-award-winning My Neighbour Totoro has found its new home in the West End and is now booking until March 2026. Find your spirit with this "profoundly magical experience" (Elle) and winner of six Olivier Awards, as the five-star, widely acclaimed adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s animated feature film appears on stage at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. 

Join sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to their curious new home in the countryside. Exploring their unfamiliar surroundings, they soon encounter a world of spirits, sprites and magical creatures. Maybe it was all a dream? Or perhaps they really are now friends with the giant, ancient protector of the forest named 'Totoro' and his friend the 'Catbus'...

Booking Period: until 29 March 2026

Running Time: 2 hours and 40 mins (including interval)

Age Guidance: 6 and over. Younger guests are welcome although the production is not suitable for under 4 years old (including babes in arms). Children need to occupy their own seat at all times through the performance. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

Show Warnings: The show features puppets, some large scale that will interact in audience space. The show contains themes of an ill parent in hospital. It also features live music and sound effects that will be loud at times and possibly scary for some younger children at moments.
