The Ashen Keys Song-writing Workshop
St Mary's Church, Higham.

Come and join Vicky and Rachel of The Ashen Keys for a 2 hour songwriting workshop, 11am-1pm on Saturday 28th June in the glorious setting of St Mary’s Church, Higham.
As part of the exhibition, ‘Marshy Mud flats and the Call of the Curlew’ by Fiona Spirals artist in residence at St Mary’s Church Higham, Vicky and Rachel are offering a 2 hour exploration of songwriting inspired by nature and observation of the world around us.
Join Vicky and Rachel to hear how they connect with nature in their songwriting. Write your own lyrics inspired by Higham marsh and the exhibition at the church. There will be discussion around chord progression, song structure, and a space to share songs.
Vicky is an educator in the arts and cultural heritage sector and has many years of experience leading creative workshop. Rachel is currently working as a Speech and Language Therapist in the HNS and has 20+ years experience in Community music delivering workshops, facilitating a community choir and working alongside the interface of music and health.
You are welcome to bring any portable instruments such as guitars and ukuleles but please note this is not required to fully participate in the workshop.
