Blending alternative R&B, experimental pop, and psychedelic sounds with deep Turkish roots, emir taha is one of the most exciting voices of his generation. The first Turkish artist to perform on COLORS, he has been featured in GQ, BBC 1Xtra, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone UK.
He has collaborated with acclaimed producers including Detonate (Sia, Diplo), Al Shux (SZA), and Felix Joseph (Pa Salieu).

Who is emir taha? emir taha is a London-based Turkish artist. He blends alternative R&B, experimental pop, and psychedelic influences, creating a unique sound that bridges east and west. His bilingual music explores themes of identity, belonging, and ambition, with a strong connection to his Turkish roots. Emir entered into the radar of the global music scene in 2016 after his re-edit of Kanye’s ‘Ultralight Beam’ which dominated the Spotify Viral Chart. His debut EPs Hoppa pt. 1 and Hoppa pt. 2 established his distinct style, while his 2024 album E.T. Phone Home further explores psychedelic textures. His music gained attention early on when his tracks caught the ear of Turkish pop star Kenan Dogulu. Emir moved to London to study, where he found creative collaborations with Jay Moon, Pablo Bowman, and notable producers such as Detonate (Sia, Diplo), Al Shux (SZA), Felix Joseph (Pa Salieu) while co-signs have come from D.C. rapper Wale and multi-platinum producer Benny Blanco. He is the first Turkish artist to perform on Colors. He has been featured in renowned publications like BBC 1Xtra, The Guardian/Observer One To Watch, Complex, Dazed, NME, Notion, Clash, Crack Magazine, DIY, and Rolling Stone UK. GQ magazine has called him “the voice of the future.”
